Moses Leads Israel Out of Egypt

Moses stands at the center of a nighttime departure, lifting his staff and pointing the way as the Israelites move out with animals, bundles, and baskets of provisions. Behind them, the buildings of Egypt recede beneath a full moon, emphasizing the urgency and solemnity of the Exodus. The loaded donkey and clustered travelers show a whole people leaving bondage, carrying what they can as they begin the journey toward the land God promised.

The scene reflects the moment after Pharaoh releases Israel following the final plague. In Exodus 12, the Lord brings His people out “by their divisions,” transforming slaves into a covenant nation under divine deliverance.
