The Beatitudes

Description
A young child stands among tall lilies and garden blossoms, lifting one hand toward birds descending through the foliage. The child’s upward gaze, the lilies, and the gentle birds form a devotional vision of innocence, purity, and trust before God. Although no figure of Jesus is shown, the composition belongs naturally to the teaching world of the Sermon on the Mount, where Christ blesses the pure in heart and points His hearers to the birds of the air and lilies of the field as witnesses to the Father’s care. The floral setting and winged creatures make the scene especially fitting for reflections on the Beatitudes, childlike faith, providence, and Christian formation. It speaks to Sunday school, children’s ministry, devotional publishing, and sermon visuals centered on humility, purity, and the kingdom values taught by Christ.
